Overview
When someone reviews you on Ethos, the review appears on your profile for everyone to see. Understanding how to view and respond to reviews you've received is an important part of managing your reputation.
Viewing Your Reviews
Navigate to your profile page.
Look for the reviews section, which displays all reviews you've received.
Each review shows the author's name, credibility score, the review sentiment (positive/negative/neutral), and the review text.
Responding to Reviews
You can engage with reviews you've received in several ways:
Comment: Leave a reply on the review to provide context, thank the reviewer, or address their points. Your response is visible to everyone.
Upvote / Downvote: Like any other user, you can vote on reviews you've received. Note that under EIP-6, downvoting a positive review you received incurs a penalty.
Accept and move on: Not every review requires a response. Positive reviews speak for themselves, and sometimes the best response to a negative review is to let your broader reputation do the talking.
Dealing with Unfair Reviews
If you believe a review is inaccurate, misleading, or spam:
Respond publicly: A calm, factual response can provide context for others reading the review.
Let the community vote: The community's upvotes and downvotes influence how much weight a review carries. Under EIP-7, reviews identified as spam can be neutralized.
Focus on your overall reputation: A single negative review among many positive ones has limited impact. Keep contributing positively and your score will reflect that.
Ethos does not offer a mechanism to remove reviews you disagree with, this is by design as censorship-resistant reputation is a core principle of the platform.
