An Ethos profile
10,000 Ethos XP (collected at the time of request)
Don't have enough XP yet? You can earn XP through daily tasks, writing reviews, vouching for others, and other contributions on Ethos.
Step 1: Request verification
Submit a Human Verification request from your Ethos profile. When you do, your 10,000 XP is collected immediately:

Your request is now visible to other people who can verify you.
Step 2: Get verified by 3 other verified humans
Other Ethos users who are Human verified and have an Ethos score of more than 1600 can review your request and verify your humanity through one of three methods:
In-person meeting (strongest signal) — The Validator has met you face-to-face
Video call (strong signal) — The Validator has conducted a live video conversation with you
Voice call (standard signal) — The Validator has spoken with you by phone
As each person verifies you, 3,000 XP is released from escrow to compensate them:

Step 3: Receive your badge
Once 3 unique people have verified you, you achieve Human Verified status and receive your badge, credibility bonus, and access to verified-human features.
Good to know
Requests never expire. There is no timeout. If you're in a region with fewer Validators, you won't be penalized for a slower process.
There are no refunds. If you abandon the process after 1 or 2 verifications, the remaining XP stays in escrow. The 1,000 XP burn is permanent.
Verification lasts 3 years before requiring renewal.
