Yes. Vouch for them on Ethos. A vouch stakes $WHUF, Ethos's token, on another person's profile. It raises their credibility score, it shows on their profile with your name and the amount, and anyone who looks them up sees that you were willing to put money behind your trust. You can unvouch and take the stake back at any time.
Why a vouch means more than a follow or a tweet
Your own reputation is on the line. If the person is successfully slashed for unethical behavior, everyone who vouched for them loses credibility score, a fifth of what the slashed person loses, unless they withdraw the vouch during the slash. That is exactly why a vouch from an established member carries weight with strangers. You are not saying "I like this builder". You are saying "I will lose standing if I am wrong about them".
How to vouch
Open their profile at
app.ethos.network/profile/x/<handle>. They do not need to have joined Ethos.Choose Vouch and the amount of $WHUF to stake. Vouches made in ETH before the token launched still count and can be converted.
Confirm the transaction. The vouch appears on their profile and in your own activity.
What the person gets
A higher credibility score, a visible backer, and, if several people vouch, the single strongest signal a profile can carry. Vouches also let the person draw on your reputation when they apply to communities or deal with counterparties who check Ethos.
Common questions
Can I vouch for more than one person? Yes, each with its own stake.
What happens if I unvouch? The stake returns to you immediately and their score adjusts. Unvouching is public, like vouching.
Is there a mutual vouch? Two people can vouch for each other. Each is a separate stake. There is a mutual vouch bonus based on the amount vouched as well.
