Released 2026-10-05. Farcaster is no longer a way to log in or a social account you can connect. This release also stops some browsers from getting the same push notification twice and shows a clearer message when a wallet signature fails.
Removed
You can no longer log in with Farcaster. You can still log in with a wallet, X, Discord or GitHub.
You can no longer connect a Farcaster account to your profile. Existing Farcaster connections no longer show on profile cards or in contacts. Past "Farcaster connected" activity still appears in history.
The share-to-Farcaster buttons are gone from share options.
Fixed
Some browsers received every push notification twice. Each notification now arrives only once.
When your wallet returns an invalid or mismatched signature, you now see a clear "Signature failed" message instead of a generic error.
