To trade on Ethos Trade you need an Ethos profile, your Ethos wallet, some WHUF in it, and a little ETH for gas. Here's how to get each one.
1. An Ethos profile
You need an Ethos profile to buy, sell or create a market. Log in at app.ethos.network.
2. Your Ethos wallet
All trades are paid from your Ethos wallet, the wallet built into Ethos. If you haven't turned it on yet, Ethos asks you to enable it the first time you need it.
3. WHUF in your Ethos wallet
Trades are paid in WHUF. To see your balance, click the WHUF balance in the top bar. That opens the WHUF drawer, where you can add more:
Convert from your ETH balance. Swap ETH that's already in your Ethos wallet for WHUF. Pick an amount or enter a custom one, then click the convert button.
Deposit to your wallet. Copy your Ethos wallet address and send WHUF to it from another wallet or an exchange. Only send WHUF on Base.
You can also move WHUF from a wallet you've connected to Ethos: on the Trade page, click Fund wallet in the Account panel. Your connected wallet pays the network fee for that transfer.
Official WHUF contract address: 0xeeee77bc7e82c0d4166d52f58239d4c5bf41eeee
4. A little ETH for gas
Every buy, sell and market creation is a transaction on Base, and you pay the gas fee in ETH from your Ethos wallet. Gas on Base is usually very cheap. If your Ethos wallet is too low on ETH, the trade button changes to Add ETH for gas. Click it to top up.
