Ethos Trade lets you trade on someone's reputation. Every market is about one person and has two sides: trust and distrust. Buy trust if you think someone is trustworthy, or distrust if you don't. The price shows how much the market trusts that person.
The trust price and trust levels
The trust price is the price of one trust token, between 0 and 1. Ethos also shows it as a percentage, called Market trust: a trust price of 0.72 means the market trusts this person 72%. Every new market starts at 50%.
Trust price | Trust level |
0.8 – 1.0 | Very trustworthy |
0.6 – 0.8 | Trustworthy |
0.4 – 0.6 | Neutral |
0.2 – 0.4 | Untrustworthy |
0.0 – 0.2 | Very untrustworthy |
Markets never close
Markets have no end date and are never settled. You hold as long as you like and sell when you want to.
Where to find it
Click Trade in the top menu, or in the bottom bar on mobile.
On a profile, the market card shows the person's trust level, with Buy Trust and Buy Distrust buttons.
In the Ethos Everywhere Chrome extension, X profiles show their market trust.
What it costs
Trading is done with WHUF on Base, from your Ethos wallet. Each trade has a small fee, and you pay a little ETH for gas. See What are the fees on Ethos Trade?.
