Reputation markets and $WHUF
Trading on trustworthiness, denominated in the native token
Reputation markets on Ethos Trade let anyone take positions on the trustworthiness of people: a speculation layer on top of the credibility graph, priced entirely in $WHUF.
How it works
Every market has a trust side and a distrust side
Prices are set by an automated market maker
Buying trust pushes a person's market trust up; buying distrust pushes it down
No resolution, no expiry
Unlike prediction markets, reputation markets never resolve. Trust isn't a binary event with an end date. Positions stay open indefinitely, and you can exit at any time by selling your trust or distrust back into the market.
Why $WHUF
All market positions are denominated in $WHUF, keeping every economic signal about trust (vouches, fees, and market positions) in one asset with no leakage to external tokens. Trading fees are burned. Participants who assess trustworthiness accurately are rewarded through market mechanics; those who back bad actors pay for it.
